Congratulations Jonas!!

Jonas Geier auditioned and was selected to participate in the 51st SD-ACDA Senior Honor Choir at Northern State University this summer. For the audition Jonas had to complete several tasks. This included a memorized piece in which he chose an Italian aria called "Per la gloria d'adorarvi" by Giovanni Bononcini. He also sang "My Country tis of Thee" and completed a sight reading and tonal memory test. The final portion included a written test on musical terms.

Jonas scored very well and earned his spot as one of the top tenors selected in the state of South Dakota. He will attend a camp at Northern State University from July 20-25 with a final performance on Friday evening at 7:30pm. Jonas will be working under the direction of Chris Maunu from Portland, Oregon. He serves as Artistic Director of the acclaimed Pacific Youth Choir, Affiliate Faculty at Portland State University, and Artistic Director of the professional ensemble Choro in Schola.
