Scott Gieske Art

Scott Gieske Art My background is in graphic design, so I love the interplay between colors, shapes, and textures.

Finding a balance between these design principles is the foundation for any piece of art I create.

Respect shouldn’t require a résumé.

The way we treat people when no introductions are made says more about our character than any title ever could. Every conversation is an opportunity to lead with curiosity, kindness, and humility. Success is temporary. Humanity is lasting.

There’s a quiet tension in this piece that keeps pulling me back. Bold black forms cut across the composition while flashes of red, pale blue, and mint create moments of balance and interruption. The small half moon becomes an anchor, suggesting that even the simplest shape can shift the energy of an entire composition. I love creating work that doesn’t tell you what to see. Instead, it invites you to slow down, make connections, and discover your own meaning. Every viewer brings something different to the experience, and that’s what makes abstract art so rewarding. What does “Half Moon” say to you?

One of the things I admire most about Banksy’s work is his ability to say something profound with a single image. A man relaxing in a bathtub inside a collapsing building. It’s absurd, humorous, unsettling, and instantly recognizable. The image invites countless interpretations. Is it a comment on denial? Privilege? Human resilience? Our tendency to normalize chaos? Banksy rarely provides answers. Instead, he creates space for viewers to confront their own assumptions. Great street art doesn’t just occupy a wall. It transforms it. In this case, the decaying architecture becomes part of the artwork itself, making the message impossible to separate from its surroundings.

Simple. Direct. Unforgettable.

Some artworks demand attention. Others invite exploration. This piece reveals itself slowly. Delicate layers of color, line, and movement create a visual landscape that feels both spontaneous and intentional. From across the room, it brings energy and light. Up close, it becomes a collection of discoveries, with every glance uncovering something new. Installed here in a bright, modern setting, the work transforms the space without overwhelming it, creating a focal point that rewards curiosity and contemplation.

Life is often shaped not by the grand moments, but by the small ones we almost overlook. This piece explores the beauty found in fragments, fleeting impressions, and everyday details. Layers of color intersect and overlap, creating a visual rhythm that feels both spontaneous and intentional. Like memories, conversations, and moments of connection, the composition is built from countless small elements that come together to form something larger. “The Little Things” is a reminder that meaning is often hidden in the spaces between, waiting to be noticed.

Tall Glass Of Water captures the movement, light, and depth of water in a way that feels both familiar and abstract. Layers of luminous blues ripple across the surface, creating a sense of calm while remaining full of energy and motion. Installed at the end of this luxury hotel corridor, the piece becomes a destination rather than simply décor. A moment of visual refreshment. A pause between departures and arrivals.

Remnants of Something explores the space between destruction and renewal. Layers of intersecting forms, fractured structures, and shifting pathways suggest traces of a previous existence, fragments of a system, memory, or place that has been broken apart and reassembled. What remains is neither complete nor lost, but transformed. The composition balances tension and harmony, allowing moments of order to emerge from apparent chaos. Lines collide, overlap, and dissolve into one another, creating a visual landscape that feels both turbulent and deliberate. Rather than depicting a specific event or narrative, the work reflects on the beauty that can arise from disruption and the unexpected forms that emerge after change. Remnants of Something invites viewers to consider what endures after a moment has passed, a structure has fallen, or a certainty has disappeared. In the fragments, there is evidence not only of loss, but of resilience, adaptation, and the possibility of becoming something new.

Some days, the best thing we can do is stop taking life so seriously. This piece plays with perspective, balance, and the simple joy of being present. A seesaw becomes a crossroad, a playground becomes a reminder, and two children become symbols of something we often forget as adults: fun isn’t a reward for finishing everything on our to-do list. It’s part of a life well lived.

Don’t forget to have some fun today.

Bold color deserves a bold space. Seeing this piece installed in a modern luxury interior highlights the energy and movement woven throughout the composition. Layers of vivid greens, electric pinks, and fiery oranges collide and overlap, creating a visual rhythm that shifts with every glance. What feels chaotic at first gradually reveals balance, structure, and unexpected harmony. Art has the power to transform a room, not just by filling a wall, but by creating a conversation. This piece brings that conversation to life.

Threshold exists in the space between recognition and memory. Soft bands of color emerge and recede across the surface, suggesting a horizon, a landscape, or a fleeting emotional impression without settling into a fixed form. Boundaries blur, transitions dissolve, and certainty gives way to atmosphere. Rather than depicting a specific place, the work explores the experience of perception itself. Subtle shifts in color and tone invite viewers into a moment of quiet contemplation, where memory, emotion, and observation begin to overlap. In Threshold, the horizon becomes less a destination than a point of passage, a reminder that meaning often emerges not from what is clearly seen, but from what is deeply felt.
