It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend Jean Kanczewski.

Some people walk into your life as visitors and some become family.

That’s exactly what Jean was.

She first came out to the Bear Den with a little cart full of treats for the animals. She would talk to them, sing to them, and love on every single one.
It didn’t take long before the animals knew her just as well as we did.

Before we knew it, Jean wasn’t just visiting anymore. She was here almost every day, helping with chores, lending a hand wherever it was needed, and filling the farm with laughter, stories and unforgettable sass!

She started out as a friend, but she became family-to all of us, both two-legged and four-legged.

The Bear Den won’t be the same without hearing her voice, and the animals will miss the gentle hands that always had a treat waiting for them.

Thank you Jean, for every laugh, ever hug, ever helping hand, and every moment you gave to our family and farm. You left paw prints 🐾 and heart prints that will never fade.

We love you, and we will miss you more than words can ever say.
