Good Morning All!

We have just been notified by Norway Savings Bank that they are awarding us a $2,000.00 Community Development Grant to specifically purchase paint to start painting the exterior of the building. We deeply appreciate this acknowledgement of our work and support of our efforts.

This is where we're asking for your help. The Maine Preservation 1772 Foundation currently has a matching grant initiative specifically to help purchase exterior paint. This is a 1:1 match. This translates as your purchase of a 5 gallon bucket of paint will result in the purchase of 2 buckets of paint. A 5 gallon bucket of paint from Home Depot currently costs $155.00. We are asking for your donations to help increase the amount we can request through this program. Any amount will help. Thank you to everyone who came to the song circle yesterday, our last event of the season. It was a wonderful day with music, laughs, food and did I say music? Thank you for a wonderful season.

The original granite foundation blocks have been replaced to their original locations!

We don't know how long the big block had been out of position, probably at least 75 years. The scope of this project was really huge, it was the job no one wanted to do for the last 50 years but now it's done. The building will be stable for another 100 years! Thank You Ed Somers, Jay Warner, Nevan Carling, Eddie Munroe. Thank you Arthur Lambert for having the vision and persistence to keep this project going and making sure it got done!
