✨July 17-19th The Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz will celebrate 35 years in Bushnell Park.
The largest free jazz festival in New England. This event is not free to produce, in fact, this year, it cost $494,900 to put on a 3 day full production with quality sound, quality music and entertainment throughout the weekend. Funny enough that’s us sliming down our offerings because it’s growing bigger than our financial capacity can handle.
All a labor of love hosted by a small team of volunteer board living in the greater Hartford area simply because they love the people and love the event. Just passion.
Often time we experience things with such enjoyment not fully understanding the commitment takes to host such a large event. Not for just one day but 3. The amount of hours, pitching, selling an event that over 100,000 people enjoy annually.
So we share this reality to simply say, attend, feel this event in your heart and also cherish it, give back in some capacity as much we pour in. If you don’t have money, that’s ok. Speak about this event to your peers, neighbors, investors, your children even. There is true legacy deeply rooted in this event. There’s generations sharing this stage and in the audience inspiring one another.
