We are asking for our community's support today as we face an urgent financial challenge and work to build a stronger, more sustainable future.

For 15 years, Green Mountain Performing Arts has been a place where children, families, and community members come together through the joy of dance and the performing arts. Founded in 2011 as a small nonprofit, the organization has evolved into a thriving community resource, offering dance education, performances, cultural programs, summer camps, and meaningful opportunities for people of all ages.

During the 2025–2026 fiscal year, GMPA served approximately 200 students through a variety of programs. Guided by the belief that arts education should be accessible to all, the organization provided scholarship funding to six families during the past year.

Despite ongoing fundraising efforts and a commitment to long-term financial stability, GMPA is facing an immediate funding shortfall as it prepares for the 2026-2027 season. We are seeking $60,000 in community donations to close this gap, enter the new fiscal year on stable footing, and continue to provide the quality programming families have come to rely on.

Over the years, many community members have experienced GMPA in some way—through a child or family member who participated in classes, performances at Waterbury Winterfest, Not Quite Independence Day, and Waterbury Arts Fest, or annual Winter Gatherings and Spring Recitals. GMPA has become part of the fabric of the Waterbury community, helping students develop confidence, creativity, discipline, and connection.

If GMPA has ever touched your life, or if you believe every child deserves accessible and high-quality arts education, we ask you to help us reach our goal. Please donate today, share on social media, and have conversations about GMPA's special role in the Waterbury community. Together, we can ensure that GMPA continues inspiring our community for generations to come.
