Hello Drama Club families!

We wanted to spread information about signing up for kids theater camps this summer. Our students put in so much work and showed so much passion during the school year, and opportunities to continue that through the summer are all around us!

S**o River Theatre in Buxton is hosting a pair of summer camps for elementary and middle school students. These camps are hosted by renowned theatre professionals and educators in Southern Maine. If you are interested in signing up or want to find out more, check out their website!

Meet Jack and Jack's Mom, played by 8th graders Leia New and Madison Redwine. Jack is a simple boy who loves his cow, Milky-White, puppeteered by 6th grader Julia Okerholm. Jack's Mom is a woman who wishes their cow made a little more milk, and her son had a little more brains. We have a feeling Jack might find something wonderful once his mom's done yelling at him, but what do you think?

We're now two weeks out from the big night! We are still looking for volunteers to run a trick-or-treating booth that Saturday, October 28th! We'll provide the candy and a table to decorate to your heart's content for anyone who wants to spend their Halloween afternoon with our wonderful MMS community!

As many of you may have heard from our students, it is almost time for drama club meetings to start in earnest! Any student interested needs to get a drama club contract from the main office and return it signed by a parent or guardian BEFORE they attend ONE of the informational meetings next week!

The informational meetings are Monday 9/11 amd Tuesday 9/12. Make sure interested students attend ONE of the meetings to sign up for roles in the Halloween Carnival!

Hello Massabesic Drama families!

With our students coming home from their second day of the 2023-2024 school year, we'd like to announce that the Massabesic Middle School Halloween Carnival will be making a return on Saturday October 28th!!

We will have informational meetings after school on Monday 9/11 and Tuesday 9/12 for any students who are interested in helping us prepare before or who want to sign up to perform in the haunted house. Can't wait to see our wonderful drama students again!

Meet Mayzie LaBird, played by 6th grader Lenora Irons. Mayzie is a fanciful bird, always eager to fly off to the next destination. When she is left with an egg to take care of she finds herself in a sticky situation. Will Horton the Elephant be able to help?
