The International Association of Pastelist's newsletter came out this morning, detailing that they are getting ready to give out their Global Grants again.
PSAK won a grant year before last and used it for the Mission Project of 2025 = Art for the Heart. We were featured in the newsletter! Here's a snippet:
How Societies Have Used Their Grants
Here are four examples of projects funded through the last grant cycle.
Pastel Society of New Mexico brought pastel to outlying communities through four community libraries, each with an exhibition and opening reception, "The Magic of Pastel."
Pastel Society of Alaska held Art for the Heart, introducing twenty first-time pastel artists to the medium through instruction and hands-on painting.
Pastel Society of the Southwest taught pastel while drawing attention to the endangered Golden-cheeked Warbler and saw its own participation and volunteerism grow.
Pastel Society of Pakistan held a large-scale event that was not previously possible, reaching emerging artists, art students, and seasoned professionals.
Hooray! It's great to get some national attention.
Keep your eyes open: We'll be bringing you details on the 2026-27 Mission Event where Pastel Society Alaska will use our art to aid Have Faith: Haiti
