This is Groot. And he's dying. For the past month he's been suffering from a mystery illness. It presented as back pain originally, which he was put on meds for, but to no avail. He slowly kept getting worse, losing weight and not eating. We suspected the meds were causing gut and liver problems so we stopped them and did blood work. Friday, he was put on heavy hitting anti-nausea meds and an appetite stimulant, but he continued to decline. Friday night we rushed him to the emergency vet over an hour away. He's been there ever since, hooked up to IVs, and he's still declining. Nobody can give us answers, but they all suspect cancer (lymphoma to be precise) though nothing has been conclusive and the cancer test won't return for 2 weeks. Groot doesn't have 2 weeks, and the vet this morning told me he's declining and there's nothing they can do other than try to make him comfortable. We're bringing him home today on palliative care until he tells us it's his time.
I'm telling you this as an apology. I know I've missed messages and emails from you, and I'm deeply sorry. There is a batch of Saga's going out shortly from Rayvin. Her and her wonderful hubby Chris have been busily casting away. She's just waiting on me to confirm addresses. If you've already paid in full and need your address changed, can you please send an email titled "Address change for Saga" to [email protected]? This will help immensely, and I'll get those out first. There are some of you who've already confirmed addresses with me, and you don't need to do anything. If I've already told you that you're in the next batch, there's nothing you need to do, other than listen to my deepest apologies and thanks for your support. 💔 Sometimes, we lose sense of time when dealing with heartbreak and it's easy to lose sight of the fact that weeks have gone by, when they only feel like days or hours.
If you've read all that, thank you. Thank you for your support and understanding. You're all amazing and I appreciate you immensely. ❤️
