🐴🌧️ MULE DAY HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO OCTOBER 17!
We’re country—we can handle a little rain—but a hurricane might get a little irritating for the mules! 😉
All jokes aside, we have decided to reschedule the 45th Annual Mule Day to help keep our visitors, demonstrators, vendors, volunteers, and animals safe.
Mule Day may last just one day, but it takes an entire year of planning and countless helping hands to bring it to life. From coordinating demonstrations and preparing the grounds to organizing vendors, activities, and all the little details, so much happens before the first visitor arrives.
Our volunteers and demonstrators give generously of their time, energy, and talents to keep this tradition alive. Many spend months preparing, gathering supplies, getting equipment and animals ready, and making arrangements to spend the day with us. We are deeply grateful for the heart and hard work they put into Mule Day. 💛
Traditionally held on the second Saturday in October, this event means so much to our community. Moving it is a difficult decision, but everyone’s safety comes first.
📅 NEW DATE: Saturday, October 17, 2026
📍 Same place: Callaway Plantation, Washington, GA
🕘 Same time: 9 AM–4 PM
🍂🎶 With this change, you can enjoy a full day of fun in Wilkes County! Start at Mule Day, then head into downtown Washington for the Fall Festival and Porch Picking, happening from 12–9 PM! Enjoy the mules, explore town, grab something delicious, and stay for the music!
We understand the new date may not work for everyone, especially those who have already put so much into preparing. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience, flexibility, and continued support.
The mules will be waiting—just a little longer! 🐴💛 Please help us spread the word by sharing this update!
