A note to the cast, crew, and audience of our spring production, which closed yesterday:

Thank you for one of the best shows we've ever produced.

Our three-day run culminated yesterday with a packed house, a powerhouse performance by our cast, and a rousing ovation that brought some of the audience members to their feet. If we'd had the budget, we're confident we could have kept this show going for at least another week.

We are so grateful for all the support we received for this labor of love.

Special thanks to Beaufort County Arts Council - Turnage Theatre, Carryout by Chrislyn, the board of Alternative Stage, Joy Tyson, Crystalline Harris, Justin Casey, media sponsor Magic 95.9., and all our dear friends and supporters from across the area.

And, most of all, thanks to the wonderful folks who labored for months to make this show a hit. You make community theater the vital and welcoming place it should be.

It's opening night!

The outrageous comedy "Love, S*x, and the I.R.S." runs, leaps, and gambols at 7 p.m. tonight and tomorrow and 3 p.m. Saturday at the Beaufort County Arts Council - Turnage Theatre.

What are Jon and Leslie trying to hide? What does the IRS have up its sleeve? Where do the girlfriends fit into all this? Whose mother is that? Is the landlord OK? Why is that guy dressed like Elvis? Why are Moon Pies mentioned so often? And who brought that smelly cheese in here?

Get the answers to these questions and many more starting tonight.

We're presenting the show by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.

This project is being supported by the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
