Community Brunch Event Hosted at The Coppertop Room

On Saturday, June 20th, Bakes By Kari (BBK) hosted its first Community Brunch Event at The Coppertop Room in Washington. This welcoming, open-to-the-community brunch was offered at no charge to attendees, encouraging only a small suggested donation.

The brunch was designed to re-launch Kari Liza Starks' Chicago-started business here in the Peoria Area. Homemade quiche, cinnamon rolls, and other savory breakfast items were enjoyed by all who attended.

Bakes By Kari is also known for their holiday pie tasting events. Kari, founder of BBK, and her crew of volunteers look forward to hosting more community events similar to this one in the future.

My wife Jana and I would like to thank everyone who came out last Thursday evening to help us celebrate the Grand Opening of The Coppertop Room in Washington. Even though the weather was unpredictable, we had a wonderful turnout of friends, family, colleagues, and local leaders! It was fun! We look forward to our new venue being well-utilized by those in Washington as well as the surrounding communities for all of life's celebrations for many years to come!
