🎃 October is the PERFECT time to get those reluctant writers excited about writing!

There’s just something about pumpkins, corn mazes, Halloween, and all things fall that suddenly gives students a LOT more to say. 😂✏️

That’s exactly why I love creating seasonal writing activities. Students get a fun topic they’re excited about, while we can still work on planning, organizing ideas, adding details, drafting, revising, and publishing.

And if the activity happens to save the teacher a little planning time too? Even better. 🙌❤️

By October, the beginning-of-the-year excitement has settled down, the to-do list keeps growing, and somehow there are never enough hours in the day. 😅

Your classroom doesn’t have to be Pinterest-perfect. Every lesson doesn’t need to be elaborate. And sometimes the simple activities are the ones our students love the most.

Keep showing up. Keep doing what you can. Keep making a difference. ❤️
