Hey, guys. So I just finished watching "Godzilla vs. Gigan", and it was really good. It is the twelfth installment of the Godzilla franchise. It also stars Hiroshi Ishikawa, Yuriko Hishimi , Tomoko Umeda, and Minoru Takashima, alongside Haruo Nakajima as Godzilla , Kenpachiro Satsuma as Gigan, Koetsu Omiya as Anguirus, and Kanta Ina as Ghidorah. The film follows the insect-like aliens from Nebula M who, after their planet is destroyed, plan to take over Earth using a new amusement park, World Children's Land, as a base. Meanwhile, Godzilla and Anguirus fight three-headed dragon Ghidorah and huge bird Gigan at a cartoonist's theme park. It is the last film in which Godzilla was portrayed by Nakajima after playing the character since the original 1954 film; he subsequently retired from suit acting.
I really liked this movie a lot. It was so exciting. The battle scenes are incredible, the music score is great, the new baddie of Gigan is terrific movie villain, the special effects are still impressive, even though dated, and the Japanese actors are good together. But one mixed aspect of the film I have is once again, reused footages from the previous films. I liked the battle sequence, where Godzilla and Anguirus were fighting together against King Ghidorah and Gigan. And the fight scenes were so brutal and so intense to watch, where there was blood spraying everywhere and on camera. I was so rooting for Godzilla himself. He literally got beaten so hard by the tower firing lasers at him. But thankfully, he got back up and finish the fight against Ghidorah and Gigan with the help of Anguirus, and he would never be defeated, no matter what. Anyway, it’s a very good, epic, monster kaiju movie, as this is my favorite Godzilla installment of the franchise. A marginal thumbs up for me on "Godzilla vs. Gigan".
