This is what it looks like when someone in Washington finally grows a backbone and puts America FIRST. Rep. Brandon Gill introducing a bill to pause Somali immigration for 25 years isn’t “mean” or “racist” or any of the other lazy buzzwords the left screams every time someone tries to enforce a border. It’s called national security, it’s called protecting American communities, and it’s called putting OUR people ahead of foreign interests for once.

The truth is, we are already drowning under the consequences of mass immigration, overwhelmed cities, strained schools, hospitals pushed to the brink, rising crime in places that used to be safe, and taxpayers footing the bill while our own veterans and working families get ignored. And while regular Americans are forced to deal with the fallout, the elites sit behind gates and private security and lecture everyone else about “compassion.” Compassion starts at home, period.

America is not obligated to take in the entire world, especially when our leaders can’t even take care of the citizens they swore an oath to serve. We need controlled, merit-based immigration, strict vetting, and a government that treats the American people like the priority again. This is the kind of bold move that sends a message, the days of open borders and endless excuses are coming to an end.
