When the tides rise, some carry boats — and others carry lives.
“The Raft of Libertas” portrays the Statue of Liberty lighting the way toward hope. Around her, small figures journey through a swelling sea — migrants seeking safety as the world shifts beneath their feet.
This piece is both an homage and a question:
What does liberty mean when the land itself is disappearing?
Created as part of the Resilience collection, this painting connects the human story of migration with the natural story of a planet in flux. Each brushstroke carries both the weight of loss and the light of resilience — an echo of the courage it takes to begin again.

There’s something powerful about seeing a portrait on the wall — not just a face, but a story.

Art, history, and politics have always been a part of my family’s legacy. That legacy first inspired my art, having been surrounded by oil portraits of my male ancestors, some dating back to 1776.

Those paintings gave me a sense of confidence and belonging that has guided me my whole life.
As a part of my story, I paint to share that same gift with others — creating oil portraits and paintings that celebrate heritage, light, and purpose.
