We are saddened to share the passing of a beloved member of the Filmfest DC community, Donné Malloy-Murray.

For over 20 years, Donné volunteered with Filmfest DC as a theater manager and became someone our staff could always count on. If you joined us for an Opening Night screening over the years, there's a good chance you crossed paths with her.

Donné was kind, dependable, and helped ensure even our busiest nights of screenings ran smoothly. Our staff loved working alongside her, and we are incredibly grateful not only for her time, but also for her friendship.

Donné will be dearly missed. We send our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones, and we'll remember her with gratitude each Opening Night to come.
