Talking about talent... Carimi Nation brought Haiti to La Grande Fete ... for one night we were blessed to get a glimpse of Haiti 🇭🇹 ‘s talent and can’t wait for them to come back to dc !!!

Over the past 2 months, I was told that I may have 2 different cancers and had to go through multiple exams and the painful wait. During my last exam, I felt the anxiety of the waiting room and decided that one should break the ice in an attempt to get us all to think about something else… I realized that all those women had one thing in common; they did not fear death, they were most concerned about what would happen to their families if they were to pass. One of the woman started crying thinking about her grandson and the burden of hospital bills; the fact that she might not be able to afford her treatment if she had cancer and care for her grandson … I was cleared but inspired by those women: we all share the same fear, the well being of our families, and have decided to support those families impacted by cancer if I could.

We started working on putting together an event which part of the proceeds will got to families who suffer the burden of hospital bills or others because a mother, a grandmother should be focusing on getting better on spending time with her family and not worry about how she is going to survive, or choosing between living or let herself die because she can’t afford treatment.

I have already found several sponsors but looking for more as well as the perfect location for this event as we are trying to have a all nighter to raise money. we will have live bands, trivias, karaoke, artists … I am also looking for an organization in the DMV which actually supports those families in order to choose the best fit organization to receive the donations.

It has hard to believe that it has been almost a year since Denitsa & Junis got married! It was a beautiful location in the heart of DC and Design Cuisine (https://www.facebook.com/designcuisine/) attention to details was Phenomenal! Gorgeous cake was created by Simply Desserts (https://www.facebook.com/SimplyDessertsOnline/) Unfortunately, when the party start the DJs have no time to take pictures, but we will do our best to start recording our gigs!
