What if Earth became a Black Hole?
It sounds like science fiction, but the physics is fascinating.
If Earth were compressed into a black hole without changing its mass, it wouldn’t become a giant cosmic monster. Instead, it would shrink to an incredibly tiny size—its event horizon would be only about 9 millimeters (0.35 inches) across, roughly the size of a small marble.

A black hole’s power doesn’t come from having “extra gravity”—it comes from packing an enormous amount of mass into an unbelievably small space. If the Sun were magically replaced by an Earth-mass black hole, the planets would still orbit it the same way because the mass would be unchanged.
The universe never stops reminding us that reality is often stranger than imagination. ✨
