This week Public presents Trish Smart

Trish Smart is a nomadic stand-up comic that flies under the radar and into your watering hole. She is an edgy comic that pushes the envelope of what women should be allowed to say out loud. Amidst her renditions of her quixotic lifestyle choices, Trish has smooth transitions and unexpected punch lines; she makes everyone want her to keep speaking slightly louder than everyone else. Trish has performed comedy shows in Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Hungary, Germany, Austria, and all over the United States and the United Kingdom.

Lauren Smith is a middle-aged single Mom, who has, thus far, survived parenting and is seeking love and getting very strange counter-offers. A wistful Mae West type, she performs all around the D.C. Metro, and mid-Atlantic, including Skystage in Frederick, MD, Zizzimos in Baltimore and Church of Satire in Hanover, PA, and has also performed live in Boston, Orlando, Tampa and Los Angeles, and all over the United States and Canada on zoom. She also performed in the Northern Virginia Comedy festival.

WE ARE SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE BLAIRE POSTMAN!

Comedian, quirky genius and generally loud person, Blaire Postman, started stand-up as a twice married, recently bankrupt, 43 year old woman on her fourth career. She's known for her explosive, fast paced delivery and comedy that often spans unusual topics. You can catch Blaire headlining stand-up at comedy clubs and alt rooms in NYC, DC and around the country, or see her solo show "LADY ADHD" at theaters nationwide, including at San Francisco Sketchfest in late January 2023.

Anna is a DC-based comedian and actor who has performed at Union Stage, on Amazon Prime and once in front of goats (and also some people) at a farm in Pennsylvania. Anna is also a member of the Rails sketch comedy team. You can catch her next in an upcoming video with humor site Cracked.

We are so excited to see ELENA TORRES!

Elena is a Spanish American telenovela actress turned stand up comedian. No, that is not a joke. After several hit telenovelas in Mexico under her belt, she fell in love with a nice Jewish East Coast guy and realized her heart wasn’t in on-camera face slapping anymore.
So she took the next logical artistic step from doing melodrama in Spanish; she started performing stand up comedy in English. She threw out her telenovela push up bra, moved to the East Coast and has performed in venues all over the country like: DC Improv, Arlington Drafthouse, Carolines, Big Hunt, Broadway Comedy Club and many more. She also hosts the Arlington Drafthouse podcast 'CounterCurrents" and has a sketch page called Human Factor Comedy. (Ok ok, she didn’t throw out her push up bra – those things are expensive..…and they work wonders - but you get the idea. )
