This read deserves a comfy chair and some tissues because this personal story is powerful!

We are beyond honored to share our newest guest blogger. She is our new exhibit co-curator and upcoming show headliner Lottie Ellington ✨

Read about Lottie’s evolution in burlesque and her close relationship with legend Toni Elling. These diary entries are created to bring more empathy and understanding to burlesque performers as a whole. The more we share our off stage personal stories with the world, the further our on stage shimmies will go!

Fun fact! Did you know for years, Lottie has cared for and preserved Toni Elling’s private collection — out of her own pocket and love. Thanks in partnership with Ecdysiast Arts Museum, Toni’s full collection will debut alongside the every(BODY) wants to be a showgirl* permanent Davenport residency.

Gia Vaughna is an international burlesque performer, singer, dancer, and producer born and raised in Houston, Texas, now based in New Orleans and New York. Known by the stage name “La Dulce Perla Mexicana”, she brings a blend of beautiful dance technique, vocal performance, and classic burlesque.

We are looking for professional burlesque, drag, aerial, pole, comedy, singing, and spoken word artists from all backgrounds. All bodies are welcome!

We have shows on Valentine’s Day, Womnx History month, Pride, Halloween and some special surprise pop ups.
