🎶 Opera Outside returns THIS WEEKEND! We’re excited to welcome tenor Jason Garcia-Kakuk to this weekend’s performances!

A native of Queenstown, Maryland, Jason has recently appeared as a Renée Fleming Artist at the Aspen Music Festival and has also performed with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Finger Lakes Opera, Opera Baltimore, and the Buffalo Philharmonic. This weekend, he joins soprano Laura Corina Sanders and pianist Joy Schreier for two FREE performances:

Happy Labor Day from Washington Concert Opera!

Today, we’re celebrating the artists, musicians, production professionals, administrators, and so many others whose work brings the performing arts to life.

Our offices are closed today in observance of Labor Day and will reopen at 9:30 AM tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8.

Washington Concert Opera’s "Armida" is among The Washington Post’s picks for the best classical music of the fall!

The Post highlights our October 24 season opener as part of its roundup of the fall’s best classical music, recognizing the rare opportunity to hear Haydn’s "Armida" live.

Join us at Lisner Auditorium for this rarely performed opera, with Lauren Snouffer, Fran Daniel Laucerica, Shannon Crowley, Jonathan Pierce Rhodes, Andrew Wilkowske, and Jason Gonzalez.

🎶 Opera Outside begins TOMORROW! This weekend’s performances feature an extraordinary trio of artists, including soprano Viviana Aurelia Goodwin.

A current member of the Cafritz Young Artist Program at Washington National Opera, Viviana will make her Metropolitan Opera debut this season as Litzie in the world premiere of Missy Mazzoli’s "Lincoln in the Bardo." She also returns to WNO for her role debut as Ilia in Mozart’s "Idomeneo."
