SassyLocations: Throwback Thursday Edition!

All these photos I took at these locations from Scream 3 in LA were taken between 2004-2011 (Yeah I’ve been doing filming locations long before it was cool
One of my favorites was going to Cotton Weary’s apartment where he runs into Ghostface. You can find that complex in West Hollywood (If I remember correctly)

As you all know by this point, I LOVE sharing personal stories when it fits with the post. In this case, Scream 3 was the first Scream movie I saw in the theater. Scream 3 was released 2 weeks before I turned 15 in February 2000 (Happy 25th anniversary Scream 3!). I can still remember my friends and I going to the theater but my friend’s mom who drove us said we couldn’t see it unless she chaperoned. So she did. I saw Scream 3 with my friends and one of their moms sitting right there with us

SassyLocations: Throwback Thursday Edition!

Happy October! The best month of the year! Enjoy this holiday month that has no obligations or societal pressure or guilt 🤣 🎃. The Conjuring was filmed in and around Wilmington, NC. I still need to see The Last Rites. Has anyone seen it? How does it stack up to the rest?

I think this is the longest I’ve ever gone without posting. Been living life! However, I was just putting my two year old daughter down for a nap and I was reflecting on how happy and unassuming she is. No concept of death, hate, greed, politics, etc…and it just made me remember the movies of my childhood when I felt the same way as my daughter does now. Here are some of the locations I’ve been to from movies from my childhood, when things seemed so much easier. I hope these bring joy to each one of you too 😊. I’m going to post more childhood movie locations later. Too many for one post. ♥️ Be good to each other.

Did you know, the 1998 disaster movie, “Deep Impact” filmed a scene with Tea Leoni and the legendary Vanessa Redgrave at Sequoia DC, a beautiful restaurant in Georgetown, right on the Potomac River? You even get a great view of the Kennedy Center (See photos with Vanessa Redgrave). As you can see, it makes for a great date night any time of the year but sitting outside by the Potomac is a must. Go there in May like my wife and I did.

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and that Santa brought you everything you wanted (within reason of course lol).

Here’s Part 1 of my holiday movie locations. These are some of my favorite shots from Christmas movies with locations I’ve visited (That I haven’t post so far this month). Merry Christmas Eve! When I was in NYC I visited several of the locations from one of my favorite holiday movies, “The Family Man” starring Nicolas Cage, don Cheadle and Tea Leoni.

Hope everyone has a wonderful night surrounded by loved ones! I remember watching this movie as a teen and even then I would dream about being a husband and father with his own family someday. My teenage self would be very happy if he could see the future 😍🎄

11 days til Christmas!

If you love Christmas movies, you probably don’t need me to set this one up either but just in case…it’s Michael’s school from the modern Christmas classic “Elf” where Buddy the elf embarrasses Michael. Easily one of the best Christmas movies of a generation! The school is York Prep School in NYC at 40 West 68th St.
