We are deeply saddened to hear of Dolly Parton’s passing earlier this week.

She represented the insurmountable impact American music and entertainers can have. She was not just a singer-songwriter but an educator, philanthropist, humanitarian, and so much more.

Over the last few years we have honored her legacy in many instances, featuring her music in several PBS specials, holding a tribute concert to Dolly’s colorful catalogue of hits, and even honoring her work through the PEACE Through Music Awards at the Grammy Museum.

We at Nouveau Productions have learned so much from Dolly and will continue to celebrate her legacy.

Our PBS productions are always filled with a star-studded cast of unforgettable artists. A few years ago we produced “Wicked in Concert” with PBS, bringing together a talented cast of performers to celebrate the Broadway musical’s legacy.

Last fall, Nouveau was proud to partner with the Capital Jewish Museum to produce their annual gala.

Taking place at the French Embassy, the evening was hosted by American journalist Dana Bash and included remarks from Ambassador of France to the United States Laurent Bili, Mayor of Washington DC Muriel Bowser, and Governor of Maryland Wes Moore. The program also honored Esther Safran Foer and David Rubenstein and included a moderated panel among the honorees and Bash.

As a production company based in DC, Nouveau Productions has the opportunity to create exciting projects at some of the city’s most iconic locations. Over the years we have recorded multiple productions at the Meridian International Center’s historic grounds, the home of many important diplomatic events in the nation’s history, forming a connection between the performing arts and public diplomacy.

Our 2021 PBS Special “We Are Family: Songs of Hope and Unity”, centered around creating connections and community through music and couldn’t have been recorded at any better of a venue. Here’s a clip from the program, featuring Broadway’s Morgan James performing “Light of a Clear Blue Morning”.

At Nouveau Productions, we specialize in creating musical events that bring together musicians of a variety of backgrounds and styles for incredible performances that have never been seen before.

In our 2021 special, “United in Song: Celebrating the American Dream,” we brought the American Pops Orchestra together with award winning musician and telenovela actor Jencarlos Canela for an energetic rendition of his hit song “Caramba.”

The 2026 World Cup is heating up!

Last fall, Nouveau provided the live entertainment for the Atlantic Council’s Global Citizen Awards to congratulate the program’s honorees. This performance of “We Are the Champions” by Morgan James followed up FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s acceptance speech emphasizing the importance of bringing people together.

Independence Day is just a few days away! As a company who prides itself on producing and sharing the best of American arts and culture, we’d like to look back on some of the most impactful showcases we’ve produced.

As a part of our One Voice series, we worked with The American Pops Orchestra to produce a program on American Roots. The episode was hosted by Sicangu Lakota rapper and activist Frank Waln and highlighted the unique ways in which music brings people together.

The program ended with Waln’s performance of “Like a Rock”, written in honor of his mother and featuring elements ranging from native flute melodies to rap to showcase the breadth of influences present in American music.

This week we’re celebrating Independence Day by highlighting some of our past patriotic performances.

At the 2023 DIstinguished Leadership Awards, we were proud to work with Nova Payton for this performance of the iconic American Civil Rights Movement anthem “A Change is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke. Performed to an audience of heads of state, foreign dignitaries, ambassadors, members of Congress and the administration,and military commanders, this performance served to mark the incredible accomplishments we have achieved since Cooke first wrote the song while acknowledging the work that is still left to be done.

Our nation’s 250th anniversary is fast approaching! As a company who prides itself on producing and sharing the best of American arts and culture, we’d like to look back on some of our relevant past works.

As part of our “United in Song” series, we traveled to Philadelphia’s Independence Hall to record the second special. Featuring incredible performers of all varieties and a mix of music old and new, the program aimed to celebrate the new year in a fresh and exciting way that all can enjoy.

Here’s a clip of The Washington Ballet’s routine to a medley of famous American composer Scott Joplin’s most iconic works.
