Credit Union House is a pair of adjacent townhomes in Washington, DC. It was built primarily for credit unions and credit union groups across the country as a coordination center on Capitol Hill. Our top-notch event facilities are regularly enjoyed by credit union-friendly lawmakers, non-profits, corporations, associations, and other civic groups. Credit Union House is a shining example of the clo

se, interdepedent partnership that exists between Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and every every statewide credit union trade association (Leagues). The property is wholly owned by every League and the American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL); CUNA provides invaluable financial and operational support. This joint commitment ensures the credit union movement will always have a "home away from home" on Capitol Hill.

While it may look like an ordinary piece of legislation, its impact on the credit union movement was anything but ordinary.

The passage of H.R. 1151 sparked a nationwide campaign that ultimately led to the creation of Credit Union House, giving the movement a permanent home just steps from Capitol Hill.

Today, we're proud to preserve a framed copy of the legislation and
one of the pens used in its signing as reminders that advocacy can
leave a lasting legacy.
