REVIEW: ·"GALA Hispanic Theatre has produced another multilayered, poignant, and funny script by Artistic Director Gustavo Ott. Ott’s sense of timing, blended with the starkness of his honesty, results in a truly enjoyable night of theatre. Under Carlos Celdrán’s sharp direction, the piece comes together in a way that makes the audience members willing collaborators, further bolstering Pujols’ performance."

"As the titular Garbo, Kevin Jorges is an absolute wonder. He knows precisely how to play vulnerable and raw, while amazingly quick to don a no-nonsense, spy-worthy façade. The rest of the cast members perform multiple roles. Standouts include Clara Navarro, whose portrayal of Pujols’ wife elicited perhaps the most laughs of the evening. Carlos Castillo as Thomas Harris, Pujols’ British counterpart, deftly brings together an awareness of wartime savagery with the softness of human possibility."

"…a beautiful story about the power of imagination as set against the “reality” of truth…an intensely memorable night of theatre. "
