There are so many ways to help young musicians thrive at DCYOP!

Throughout the year, DCYOP relies on generous in-kind donations to help us host events, celebrate our students, support our families, and create meaningful experiences.

We’re currently looking for items like:

-Gift certificates or gift cards for interactive fundraising
-Raffle and live auction items
- Jewelry, luxury experience, and one-of-a-kind art for a limited-entry drawing

Make an impact while showcasing your brand, your story, and your commitment to youth by becoming a sponsor of A World of Difference, DCYOP's annual fall fundraiser. The event will be held on November 8 at the Atlas Performing Arts Center.

Not every meaningful gift comes in the form of a cash donation.

We're currently seeking businesses, organizations, and community partners to support this special evening through sponsorships OR in-kind donations for our silent auction and fundraising activities.

We’re excited to join the Home Rule Music Festival THIS Saturday, October 3 at Alethia Tanner Park!

DCYOP will be there with a table and a hands-on instrument petting zoo, featuring strings, brass, and more. Come say hi, meet our team, and get a chance to explore some instruments up close!

We love opportunities to connect with the broader D.C. music community, especially ones that bring young people and families into the experience.

The DC Youth Orchestra Program partners with the DC Jazz Fest and Sitar Arts Center to make the JazzDC Youth Ensemble possible for student musicians ages 12-18 years old.

If you love jazz and want to learn to play with some of DC's best young musicians, sign up to audition for our 2026-2027 program, directed by Elijah Jamal Balbed.

Auditions are September 16th and September 30th from 7:00-9:00pm at the Sitar Arts Center. Scan the QR code to get an audition time and more information!
