From Travis:
“My last three iMusical shows will be this summer: June 14, July 17, and my final show is on July 26. All shows are Saturdays at 9pm, at Studio Theatre in northwest DC (14th and P).

That’s the TL;DR.
I had a career change last year, and I have almost finished my first year as the choral and theatre teacher for John F. Kennedy High School in Montgomery County. I have quickly realized that continuing to grow that program is going to require all of my artistic and professional energies, which means I need to regretfully close this chapter of my life.
I’m still in denial about it. Apart from a few weeks in 1997, this will be the first time in my post-college life that I will not have an active professional music theater or professional improv comedy engagement on my schedule.
I started iMusical: The Improvised Musical 19 years ago, with the incredible trust and generosity of Mark Chalfant and Washington Improv Theater. From 2006 through today, I have had the unique pleasure and privilege to have my artistic dream come true. Dozens of performers, hundreds of shows… too many memories. Gratitude doesn’t remotely describe my state of being.
iMusical isn’t ending. The amazing cast and their music director Mike O’Connor will continue on, making more memories and magic and keeping the show alive for many audiences to come.
However, if you haven’t ever seen ME create instant musical theater with this show, or haven’t in a while? You have three more chances.
There will be more sappier posts to come, but I wanted to get this out there now, so that people have plenty of time of opportunity to book tickets. These promise to be special shows. Hope to see you there!”
iMusical joins the unpredictable playfulness of comedic improvisation with the emotional power of musical theater.
