Vision
We aim to create audience entrancing shows inspired and executed by women’s voices, participation (in every aspect of theater) and experiences that have been underproduced and watered down. We also aim to produce shows that push artists to incorporate who they are unapologetically. More about TMD

There really never is "enough" theater ;) Too Much Damn Theater’s mission is to create theater

opportunities for local artists in a climate where the arts are being threatened. We provide ways for creative souls, especially underrepresented artists, to enrich their lives and the lives of the community through the unique benefits of the arts. Nothing matches live theater and we are dedicated to overcoming impediments to live theater from “it’s too hard,” “who has the time?,” “there aren’t enough opportunities.” It is our habit and solemn duty to make dreams and artistic visions come true. Did you know that TMD Theater stands for the initials of our Fearless Leaders! T for Tuesday Barnes

Our final Pass-along Play performer spotlight is Sneha Verma! She is performing the role of Penny, the granddaughter of Marilyn aka the Undecided Voter and a karaoke staffer. This will be her first play as a performer in D.C.! See her live on Friday Nov. 15. Please email TMD Theater [email protected] or text us at 202-525-7365 to reserve your spot! Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm.

Sneha Verma always had an interest in theater as a kid. She and her sister would perform the Harry Potter books for fun. Sneha participated in elementary school plays. However, as time went on she started to lose touch with that side of herself. Once she heard about the Too Much Damn (TMD) Theater, she realized how much she missed acting and found the courage to audition again.

And TMD Theater is ecstatic to have her join us and immerse in all the wonders of theater! After all, there's never too much damn theater! ;)

It's actor power hour where we spotlight a Pass-along Performer every hour! Next up we have the one and only Marketa Seliyah Nicholson! Not only is Marketa performing the role of Gina - the daughter of our undecided voter and the detective, she is also a co-leader of TMD Theater and recently returned to D.C. from living in Philly. See her live on Friday Nov. 15. Please email TMD Theater [email protected] or text us at 202-525-7365 to reserve your spot! Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm.

Marketa Seliyah is a native Washingtonian, a foodie, content creator, and co-founder of TMD Theater. She has been in love with acting since a very young age. Marketa has performed in many plays and films in the D.C. area, including those featured at the Kennedy Center, Capital Fringe Fest, Katuson, and the 48 Hour Film Project. After high school she did the young actors conservatory at Studio Theatre under the direction of Cassie Tiegen. She took some "find yourself" time and could no longer deny her need for the stage and lights. Marketa reenergized her love and passion for theater at The National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts (NCDA). While at NCDA she spent two years learning the ins and outs of the Craft she loves and further grew through the ART program (Actor Repertory Theatre) where she learned not only theater, but film making.

She is working to create her own wine line and enjoys designing signature drinks. She feels that food brings people together and that a good drink never hurts. Marketa Seliyah Nicholson is a native Washingtonian. She hopes to one day own her bar which she will affectionately name Sweet Aki, in honor of her late mother.
Besides the awesome world of acting Marketa is a true music lover and foodie.

Marketa has her own foodie webseries called "Munchies and Cocktails (www.instagram.com/munchiesandcocktails). Hoping to one day not only be a name in acting, but to also own a bar which she plans to name “Sweets Aki” (Sweet Fall).
