Spooky Action Theater is an immigrant-led company, which links artists and audiences in a shared act of imagination that leaves all parties transformed. Lost City Books is the place for explorers, for deep divers, who want the books they find to take them to a new horizon. In order to celebrate the power of stories to help us envision a future of liberation in honor of Spooky’s production of “Hakawatis” by Hannah Khalil, we are thrilled to launch a unique partnership. Lost City Books has prepared a reading list that focuses on SWANA authors and women’s empowerment. Go to the bookstore to find a book that pursues these themes, and buy your ticket for “Hakawatis” with code lostcity8 at spookyaction.org until October 18.

When you make it to Lost City Books, be sure to buy their spooky T-shirt, designed by the talented Julie Lai (julie) and printed locally by Malokul Industries. Lost City Books is donating 100% of proceeds from their seasonal t-shirt to DC Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid.
