Kathmandu: Nepal’s northern Rasuwa district, near the Nepal–Tibet border, was struck by devastating flash floods and landslides on Wednesday, resulting in dozens of deaths and hundreds of people reported missing. The disaster caused widespread destruction, sweeping away homes, roads, bridges and critical power infrastructure, while leaving several areas difficult to access.
Rescue and relief operations are underway as authorities continue efforts to assess the damage and locate those missing.
