Today, we said goodbye to Charlene — and it still doesn’t feel real.

Charlene was more than our Glam Director for DC Black Broadway. She was grace, style, laughter, reassurance, and excellence wrapped into one beautiful soul. She had a way of walking into a room and instantly elevating it — not just with haor and glam, but with heart.

DCBB will forever carry her imprint. Her standard. Her warmth. Her legacy.

Let's kill two birds 🕊️🕊️ with one stone 🪨. We have been nominated for The Best of the DMV by The Washington Informer and Safeway for The Best of Community Theater and Best in Music and Art by a non-profit that's the first 🕊️. Second 🕊️ is when you look at the categories, our competition is always theater companies that are bricks and mortar (buildings). With hard work, we have won every award show thanks to you guys. Being a fans favorite shows we have TRUE IMPACT in the community, but still no home or funding for DC Black Broadway. I've been working hard behind the scenes to secure both. Soon we will need the help of the community to make some noise for DCBB - we needs a home in DC!!!! Now that I've got that off my back, go vote and please share!!!
