Please join The Lessons in Love Project to help fund the Flint Clean Water Initiative. The purpose of this Initiative is to help get clean water to the people of Flint, MI. If you are unfamiliar with the crisis in Flint, it began in April 2014, when it was determined that Flint's water supply had been gravely contaminated with lead. The reason for the contamination was the changing of Flint's water source from the treated Detroit Water and Sewerage Department water to the Flint River, which still used the original iron piping. This iron piping over time corroded and resulted in large amounts of lead being leaked into the water supply. Your donation(s) will go directly towards purchasing clean water for the residents of Flint, MI. Your help would be greatly appreciated. We will be delivering 2 and 5 gallon containers of purified water by hand to the residents on Flint with the help of the local news station WNEM TV5. We are aiming to help 600-1000 families. This is a mission that is near and dear to the Lessons in Love Project as it is a clear representation of what we aim for, spreading God's love through the act of giving. Again, any help is greatly appreciated, as every cent and dollar counts.
