🎤 My first televised performance — and it was sung.
Food isn’t the only thing I cook.
I write music. I play instruments. And now… I sing on TV.
I had the honor of surprising Marissa Mitchell for her birthday during the debut week of her show — a queen whose inner and outer beauty radiate through the screen. Her voice, her presence, and the space she’s creating are so needed in these times, and the impact is already undeniable 👑✨
The lyrics were chosen with intention — to honor a woman who leads with grace, strength, and light.
Yes, the video might be a little off-sync… and yes, I was hoarse from a show the night before 😅 — but I’m grateful I made it through, the voice didn’t crack till the end, and that we still captured this moment. Also, I must show love to Isaac lamar and my right had Flo Carey who supported me on bgv for this moment!
📺 For everyone with access to FOX 5 DC, tune in
🌍 And for my people in other cities, states, and countries — you can stream the Marissa Mitchell show online or through the FOX 5 DC app on Firestick.
This was more than a performance.
This was purpose on a platform. 🙏🏾🎶
