GenOUT Youth Chorus The GenOUT Chorus is the DC area’s first-ever vocal ensemble for LGBTQ+ and allied youth, ages 13-18.

Happy birthday to Ben, a singer in GenOUT since Sep. 2022 and last year's Soprano Section Leader. Ben joined us for our recent music & service trip to Asheville, NC and will be singing in an upcoming production of Bernstein's Mass. Of special note to our GenOUT Soprano/Alto alums who are looking for a singing community: The newly-formed Trans Community Chorus of Metro DC is accepting new singers (adults 18+) for its Fall 2026 season. No auditions required; just trans joy! Sunday chorus rehearsals begin August 2. Wednesday ensemble rehearsals begin September 2: Halloween concerts will take place October 17 & 18. Rehearsals are held in a wheelchair-accessible space near the Orange & Silver lines in Arlington, Virginia.

Happy birthday to Dalyan, a new-ish member who joined last September. Dalyan is a fan of pop music and the TV show Gravity Falls. As a musician, Dalyan sings in the soprano section and is also an accomplished pianist.
