Hellooo Mushroom Friends! It’s been a while!! But not for naught, as here we have a cute little specimen of Morchella esculenta, aka the rare delicacy MOREL MUSHROOM! These are quite a treat indeed and coveted by mushroom hunters everywhere. Many a legend surround the perfect conditions for these gourmet mushrooms, but keep in mind, 50 degree nights and rainy weather between March and May is definitely the ideal weather to go morel hunting! ✳️Important: morels are ALWAYS hollow and never fuzzy on the inside! They never have a reddish tint to them, so toss away those false morels that might give you a tummy ache!
***Always remember, never eat ANY wild species unless you are 100% sure of its identification. When in doubt, take an expert foraging with you and always review each specimen before preparing! Never consume ANY wild mushroom species raw! Stay safe and happy hunting!
