Seasons are rhythms to life. I have realized that not every hard part of life lasts forever, and the highs come without warning sometimes. You never know when life will surprise you! Keep showing up, even if it’s hard. One step in front of the other, positive movement towards that goal- even if it seems impossible ❤️ keep going friend, for yourself and for everyone watching.

This weeks commissions minus a few that were SURPRISE gifts 🥰😍 Summer is coming to a close- and so I will be slowing down on house commissions. DM me if you want to hop onto my list before school starts.

I didn’t start painting professionally until my late 30s. It’s never too late to start something new. ❤️ I started my watercolor journey by taking classes at my church. I had painted with acrylic but felt very intimidated by watercolors. With two or three classes, I got the feel of the medium, and then I was addicted. Starting was clunky and hard. Honestly it felt silly but then after playing around- without an end goal- I picked up the basics and unlocked a new love. You’re never too old to start something new. It’s okay to be bad at it for a little while 😜 just play around and see how it makes you feel. The more you do it, the more comfortable and confident you become- which allows you to experiment with self expression. ❤️ hugs to all my mid-life ladies rediscovering who they are.

I’m mailing out a lot of commissions today, and I wanted them to arrive with a little extra flare. 🥳 I am using tempera paint sticks for this, which will be on my art supplies series soon!! 🩷 I always love a good timelapse to make myself feel like I’ve done something productive and fast 😜

I’m not wrong.

I get so many pictures with kids posing in the middle of the yard. I hate editing them out 😂. One day I’m going to keep them in 😜

When people send me pics of their houses- often they will include their kids 😅 it pains me to edit them out because they’re so cute- and proud!! One day I am going to keep them in.
