doris-mae Who is doris-mae? a series of exhibitions, events, panels and discussions at 1716 14th Street NW. Join us for these events throughout the year!

doris-mae is a new curatorial project by Thomas Drymon that includes six exhibitions from September 2012 to May 2013 with painting, photography, installation, and video by artists in the Washington, DC, metro area. During the exhibition season, doris-mae also will host an ongoing series of conversations called “The 21st Century Artist,” as well as an impromptu series called “Ask A Caged Artist Any

thing,” where we install two local artists in the cage on the front of the building and allow the public to engage them about their practice, politics, art and life—no questions are off-limits.
