Crime 101 is a 2026 crime thriller directed by Bart Layton.
Mike Davis is a professional jewel thief who lives by a strict code—carefully planned robberies, no unnecessary violence, and no mistakes. His series of sophisticated heists earns him the nickname associated with “Crime 101.”
As Mike prepares for what he hopes will be his last and biggest score, he crosses paths with Sharon, an insurance broker whose career and personal life have reached a turning point. The two form an uneasy partnership, each hoping the heist will give them a fresh start.
Meanwhile, Detective Lou Lubesnick has spent years tracking the elusive thief. Unlike others, Lou recognizes that the robberies are connected and becomes obsessed with stopping Mike before the final heist takes place.
The film builds toward a tense cat-and-mouse showdown where loyalty, ambition, and morality collide. Rather than relying solely on action, it focuses on character choices, suspense, and the psychological battle between the criminal and the detective.
