Big news!

I’m excited to share that I’ve officially been welcomed to Spiralis Gallery and will be participating in their upcoming exhibition, Landscapes Within, opening Friday, June 5th in Easton, Maryland.

As many of you know, I’ve been working hard to build my career as a full-time artist and get my work in front of more people. Opportunities like this remind me why I took the leap.

I’m honored to be exhibiting alongside Larry Horowitz and Victoria Oniosun, and grateful to Spiralis Gallery for believing in my work and welcoming me into the gallery.

My paintings are rooted in the stories, memories, faith, and everyday experiences that shape our communities. I’m looking forward to sharing those stories with a new audience and seeing where this journey leads.

If you’re in the area, I’d love for you to stop by and experience the show.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, collected my work, encouraged me, and followed along on this journey. This is another step forward, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.

Today I said goodbye to my dearest friend.

Twelve years ago, I walked into the Atlanta Humane Society and met the sweetest 9 month old puppy. I had no idea how much life we would share together.

Polo was with me through everything.

He was there when I was young and living out of my van in Georgia. He rode with me as I left home to start a new life in DC. He was there for my first real job, through heartbreak, lonely nights, and the excitement of finally getting the apartment I had always dreamed of.

He was there when I met the woman of my dreams, when we got married, through the uncertainty of COVID, the birth of our twins, moving into our home, and watching those little babies grow into big personalities.

Polo wasn’t just a dog. He was a witness to my life.

He saw me at my worst and at my best. He listened without judgment. He showed up every day with loyalty, love, and a willingness to snuggle no matter what was going on. He loved me unconditionally.

He was sweet and spicy all at once. I’ll miss the way he’d tap dance across the floor to let us know exactly what he wanted. I’ll miss seeing him waiting for us. I’ll miss his presence in all the little moments that make a house feel like home.

My children have never known a day of life without Polo. Neither have I, for a very long time.

Thank you for every mile, every season, every adventure, and every quiet moment.

You were a good boy, Polo.

The very best boy.

And you will be forever missed. ❤️

Today, Everyday People comes down.

Grateful to x .art.island for believing in this work and giving it a home. What started as an idea became a space filled with stories, presence, and real connection.

To everyone who showed up, shared the work, brought someone with them, or spent time with the pieces… thank you. You made this more than an exhibition. You made it felt.

This show reminded me why I do this. The work lives on, and I’m just getting started.

More soon.

Another year around the sun… and I’m walking in purpose.

Grateful for life.
Grateful for growth.
Grateful for every lesson, every opportunity, every person who’s poured into me and my journey.

This year isn’t just about creating art… it’s about becoming everything I’m called to be—as an artist, as a father, as a husband, as a man of faith.

If you’ve ever connected with my work, been inspired by it, or believed in what I’m building… I’ve got one birthday wish:

🎁 Share my work.

Post it. Send it. Tell someone about it. Put it in rooms I’m not in yet.

That kind of love goes further than anything else. It helps me keep creating, keep growing, and keep showing up for the people I’m meant to reach.

Thank you for being part of this journey. The best is still ahead.

She sits at ease, the way someone does when they have learned to move through the world on their own terms. Like the cherry blossoms that briefly transform the city each spring, her presence feels both gentle and undeniable. In this still moment, bloom becomes less about the season and more about the quiet arrival of becoming.

Earlier this week I got to take my mom to see Everyday People.

She’s featured in two of the paintings and watching her stand in front of them was a moment I’ll never forget. Full circle. The woman who shaped me now living inside the work.

If you haven’t seen the show yet, I’d love for you to come through. It’s on view until April 26th x .art.island

Come experience it.
