We're headed to the 92NY Future Dance Festival! 🎉

Our Artistic Director, Madeline Maxine Roman, is a selected choreographer for this year’s festival.

We'll present her work Forbidden Fruit, a virtuosic duet that explores religion, sexuality, and anger in women through bold partnering.

Huge shoutout to Alex and Destiny for bringing their artistry and athleticism to this piece, and to Levi for rehearsal directing while Max at a residency in Seattle.

Say it ain't snow 😔

GRIDLOCK Dance and Baltimore Theatre Project have made the decision to postpone the upcoming performances of Tooth and Claw due to weather.

We're feeling pretty bummed, but our top priority is always the safety of the cast and crew.

If you have already purchased tickets, please contact the Baltimore Theatre Project box office at 410-752-8558 for information on exchanging your tickets or other options.

Thank you to all the dancers and collaborators, and we'll keep everyone posted on when the shows are officially rescheduled! 💛

One billboard and two chances to see our show! 🎟️

I'm so excited for GRIDLOCK Dance's upcoming performance of Tooth and Claw at Baltimore Theatre Project THIS WEEKEND on Saturday, Jan 31 and Sunday, Feb 1 at 2:00pm.

We’re also up on a billboard near Penn Station (!!) featuring the stunning Theatre Project poster by Dave Plunkert.

This show is incredibly special to me, and a huge part of that is getting to work with the ridiculously talented company members and local students.

Some of the vibes include:

~a massive concrete block that dancers literally launch off

~a whole lotta commentary about capitalism using crab metaphors

~a lil heart and hope through original poetry by my wife, Valentina.

Get your tickets now for Tooth and Claw, and come experience what inspired Dave’s stunning artwork for this piece. 💛

Two casts, two coasts, two chances to see Honeysuckle in September 🌼

Levi Coy, Gabriel Mata, and Valentina Roman will perform at Dance Place in Washington, DC on Saturday, September 13 as part of their Spirit Week showcase.

Later in the month, we're headed west for Levi Coy, Dylan Lambert, and Valentina Roman to perform in the Men in Dance showcase at the Erickson Theatre in Seattle, Washington from Friday, September 26 to Sunday, September 28.

Choreographed by Madeline Maxine Roman, Honeysuckle is a duet inspired by secret longing, q***r love, and the quiet beauty of rural America.

It explores the intimate, irreversible way one being can impact another through original live music and a few drops of water, all contained within an 8x10 grass rug.

Don't mind us reminiscing about the March Motion Mixer. 💛

It was great to connect with dancers lovers from all over the DMV and see works by Brighton Sawyer, Baylee Wong, and AJ Collabs.

The Motion Mixer is an event hosted at the DC Arts Center that's part social mixer, part dance performance.

Each event features dances created by talented DMV choreographers, networking prompts over food and drinks, and an interactive talkback discussion with the artists.

If you were at the Motion Mixer or want to attend future ones, we want to hear from you! What day and time would you like for future events? 🤔
