Before my relaunch campaign comes to a close I would like to offer an art give away.

I will be giving away a 16x20" print featuring Corey Glover of the band Living Colour. The artwork will be a first printing signed by both myself and Corey. What do you have to do to win your original piece of Anike Robinson artwork?

Four-Hundred Year Hive Meditation, electric collage, Gris Gris Mythology Series 2019
Some of the art pieces in the Gris Gris Gurlz series are collages, graphic designs and paintings inspired by the dolls themselves. The prints hold as much meaning as the dolls themselves as each image has a piece of the Gris-Gris history and mythology.The background of this piece includes painted faces. The adorned face in the background are an allusion to the painted women of Cote d’Ivoire for a Vodun ceremony. Said to once have a hive mind the Gris Gris Gurlz interconnected was severally disrupted during the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. But all HIve-MInd connections were not broken and this image is a reminder to the Gurlz to tap into the collective consciousness.
