Decoded Magazine argues that dance music has become boring due to a corporate takeover, predictable soundscapes, and a shift toward social media-driven "content" over authentic club experiences. Despite this commercialization, the article suggests a counter-movement is emerging through a renewed interest in underground, vinyl-focused spaces.To this end DJs playing deep cuts & discovering obscure artists through hours of digging through releases on sites like Bandcamp are few & far between.
