Do you know Bella Rayne? The most incredible things about the Dead community is the connection between generations after so many decades. Bella and her band were on fire last year, and this year they will be joining Better Off Dead on Saturday, August 8th for the closing night os 2026 Days Between Concert Series!

MORE ABOUT BELLA RAYNE:

At just 18, Bella Rayne is a self-taught guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter whose sound is quickly turning heads across the country. Born in the mountains of North Carolina and raised along the rugged coast of Mendocino, California, she blends rock and Americana with the improvisational spirit of the jam-band tradition—creating a sound that feels both timeless and strikingly new, bridging generations of listeners. Blending soulful Southern rock, modern Americana, and improvisational jam with bold reinterpretations of Grateful Dead classics alongside Bella’s own originals result in a sound that feels both timeless and unmistakably new.

Despite her young age, Bella has already shared the stage with seasoned artists and respected bands: appearances alongside Allman Betts Family Revival, Melvin Seals & JGB, ALO, Jackie Greene, Oteil Burbridge, and members of Terrapin Family have all added to her early résumé and she was touted as “one to watch” by her idol, Susan Tedeschi in a 2025 Guitar World Magazine interview. In addition, she has been invited to iconic stages nationwide.

One of the most iconic moments of her rising career: she was entrusted to play the legendary guitar known as “Alligator” — once wielded by Jerry Garcia. That honor, courtesy of Grateful Guitars Foundation, has become a defining chapter in Bella’s journey and Guitar Player magazine recently recognized her as one of the players “keeping the Dead alive” alongside Jeff Mason (Dark Star Orchestra) and Tom Hamilton (JRAD) in an article from May 2025.

GRATEFUL GUITARS

Have you ever wanted to witness one of the Dead's famous axes? Well we won't be purchasing Tiger anytime soon, but are beyond fortunate to announce that this is one of two shows in the series where Grateful Guitars will be present so you can witness top of the line replicas in action!

Dangermuffin rocks out in on August 13th - grab your tickets now!

The Folly Beach, SC-based trio blends folk, jam-band rock, reggae, and Americana, often described as having a "Grateful Dead" inspired sound. Their music ranges from acoustic, feel-good grooves to highly technical, high-energy rock elements characterized by introspective lyrics and, at times, Caribbean vibes.

"The first track sets the bar for the entire release—and sets it very high. The song "We Push Mountains" has a Southern rock feel reminiscent of the late 1960s revitalization, with heavy guitar riffs and tight harmonies. The song is a masterpiece with the same feel-good vibes and lyrical line as the finest from the Van Zant brothers." Dan Ward - Grateful Web

SUPPORT SPOTLIGHT: GA-20
Opening for Devon Allman Blues Summit on Sunday, June 14th!

Since 2018, GA-20 has been at the forefront of a traditional Blues revival. The dynamic throwback trio have long been disciples of the place where traditional Blues, Country and Rock ‘n’ Roll intersect. “We make records that we would want to listen to,” says guitarist Matt Stubbs. “It’s our take on the song-based traditional electric Blues we love.” Stubbs, along with guitarist & vocalist Cody Nilsen and drummer Josh Kiggans, strive to bring traditional Blues to the front lines of the modern roots music scene. “The focus for us has always been on the story, the melody, and on creating a mood,” Stubbs continues. “Traditional Country and Soul have all had these massive recent revivals. We want to be part of doing that for traditional Blues music.”

GA-20 has drawn inspiration for their old-school sounds from the music they love by artists such as Otis Rush, J.B. Lenoir, Howlin’ Wolf, Junior Wells, Hound Dog Taylor, Earl Ho**er, Johnny ‘Guitar’ Watson and so many others. Performing with what feels like reckless abandon, GA-20 brings a timeless immediacy to every song they play with a sound that continues to grow and evolve. The band uses vintage instruments and amps to produce their authentic sound, and favours traditional recording techniques, like recording live off the floor together in one room, to help recreate that energy and sonic connection.

In their short history, GA-20 have been 3x #1 Billboard Blues chart toppers, 4x Boston Music Award winners for Best Blues Act, and have received multiple wins and nominations at the Blues Music Awards, Blues Blast Awards, New England Blues Awards, and have ascended streaming and radio charts at home and internationally. Medium.com has appropriately declared, “This is the kind of music that travels through time while taking from the era where it was born and turning it into something fresh. Dirty and raw…timeless and modern.”

Have you witnessed the glory of Steely Dead? Why pick between Grateful Dead + Steely Dead when you can have both. For their third year joining the Days Between Concert Series, we invite you join a huge party, have your face melted (not literally) by epic guitar solos, and to take a trip to and from and back again from the catalogue of GD & Steely Dead. No one does it like these guys, so mark your calendars for Friday, August 7th!

MORE ABOUT THE BAND:

Steely Dead’s repertoire is a carefully crafted fusion of Grateful Dead and Steely Dan songs, between the arrangement and precision studio recordings of rock legends Steely Dan, cross-pollinated with the Grateful Dead’s free-flowing, melodic improvisation and masterful song segues. Steely Dead merges these major concepts together infusing the influence into each band, all the while creating an original jam element with the song segues. Steely Dead’s performances are a musical journey that takes audiences on a nostalgic trip through the golden era of rock and roll.
Their performances are not just concerts, but communal gatherings where fans come together to celebrate the music they love, dance, and create lasting memories. Steely Dead’s performances are a testament to the power of live music, bringing people together and creating an unforgettable experience that resonates long after the last note fades.
