Art collections are a direct reflection of their owners. They reveal thought, sensibility, taste and character of the collector. Here in light of the American election the first picture shows the Obama’s dining room who in 2009 beautifully re-decorated and revamped the White House. Obama’s love of modernism brought in pieces by Joseph Albers dominating the sitting room. They are exquisite bold art works that light up the room with hope and progress. (From top: Homage to the Square: Elected II (1961) and Homage to the Square: Midday (1957), Both loaned by the Smithsonian’s Hirshorn Museum. ) Second image shows no other than Mr. Trump in his office in front of a painting by Andy Thomas, a self-taught artist based in Carthage, Missouri. It is claimed this is not the original, a high quality print of the work. Trump owns many replicas. No comments 🤐
