It is hard to believe that it has been 36 years since I opened Canal Frame-Crafts Gallery in Washington Crossing. I am very blessed to have great clientele and live/work in a beautiful area.

I had to share this beautiful needlepoint piece that we just framed for a customer. She spent several years stitching the 7 separate pieces representing the 7 days of Creation. We stretched them individually and cut a 7-Hole mat. Because of the dimensional stitches, especially on the monkey, seaweed, and the various beads, we shadowboxed the piece so the museum glass was raised above the needlework. The work was extremely well-done and very interesting. Congratulations Melissa!!

It is always very difficult to deal with losing a beloved pet. This customer let us create a beautiful tribute to Cosmo, a hound mix, as he crossed the rainbow bridge. RIP Cosmo!

I love the spring when the plants start waking up and the flowers and bushes start to bloom. It was good to get the gold part of my sign repainted before the grasses got any bigger.

The Nordic Oak frames are Scandinavian in color and style and since we didn't use a mat, we used a spacer to keep the pastels and museum glass separate.

Our customer wanted something fun on their egg print and to coordinate with another piece in the kitchen. We were able to create a special one-of-a-kind mat from decorative paper that the customer found. This could be done with wrapping paper, sheet music or any special paper product that can be mounted.
