Five must-haves to wear around the coast with the most

06/05/2026

Rhode Island gives us a lot every summer. Sunrise walks along the shore, afternoons at the farm stand, bike rides with a water view, and sunsets that somehow never get old.

This World Environment Day, we’re thinking about all the places that make the Ocean State feel like home. The beaches, trails, parks, and neighborhoods where memories are made, season after season. 🌎

The best way to love this little state is simple: leave it a little better than you found it.

Pick up that stray coffee cup. Make a stop at the farm stand. Stick to the trail. Help keep our coast with the most looking its best.

After all, the best RI traditions are the ones that make sure the next generation gets to enjoy them, too. What’s one small way you love Rhode Island back? 💚

Some holidays ask for plans. Memorial Day asks for perspective. Across Rhode Island today, flags will wave, stories will be shared, and quiet moments will find their way into the long weekend.

We’re taking a moment to remember and honor the service members who gave their lives in service to our country—and to say thank you. Your sacrifice continues to shape the communities we call home.

Wishing you a meaningful Memorial Day, Rhody. ❤️🇺🇸

Some traditions don’t really change. You just get better at knowing where to park and which booth you’re coming back to later.

Gaspee Days returns this weekend (May 23–25), bringing one of those annual Memorial Day traditions that always feels equal parts community gathering, stroll, and accidental shopping trip. Along Narragansett Parkway and around Pawtuxet Park, the Arts & Crafts Festival fills the village with 100+ artisans, local makers, live music, food stands, and plenty to browse at an unhurried pace.

And of course, it wouldn’t be Gaspee season without the parade making its way through the village and bringing that classic everyone-lines-the-route energy that’s become part of the tradition. Bonus: admission is free.

Whether this is your annual Memorial Day weekend stop or your first time making the trip, consider this your reminder that it’s happening now!
