Most of my couples love to do a Thank you and welcome to everyone. I let them know to let everyone know what they want! Let your guest know you want to have fun! Then I always let the groom have that moment to ask his bride for the frist dance! Its a great way to transition from that High energy Grand Entrance with a buffer going into the low energy First Dance. And I can not introduce a first dance better than having the groom ask for that. You can always catch that "Awwww" recation from the crowd.

This is something important to remember! For me this starts with the reception. I intentionally have the B&G sign the contract. It does not matter who pays, I work for the couple. It is after all their special day! Parents, family and friends who offer to pay are giving the money to the couple, not securing my services where they get control. The wedding day should be all about the couple and their wishes. I want guest to not only say this day was amazing, but that it fit the couple perfectly!
