Symphony of the Lakes

Symphony of the Lakes The Symphony of the Lakes is an orchestra home based in Warsaw and Winona Lake area. We value high quality performances and engaging the community.

Symphony of the Lakes, Inc. (SOTL) was established in 2006 to feature approximately 50 part-time musicians performing at least 5 or more free-of-charge concerts of symphonic music per year. Since then, the orchestra has performed 5 concerts a year, at venues including Rodeheaver Auditorium in Winona Lake, and the Performing Arts Center at Warsaw High School. Varied programs have been chosen to att

ract diverse audiences. Musician pay was established, in contrast to the former volunteer Warsaw Symphony Orchestra, and although many excellent players remained, the symphony was able to attract many new talented musicians, improving the quality of performances. Audience attendance has steadily increased. Until May of 2010, Grace College School of Music students performed with SOTL as part of their course work, free of charge. Due to the demise of the Grace College School of Music, more musicians will now have to be paid, and to make up for this change, SOTL is offering only 4 concerts in the 2010-2011 season.
