Well, here's something new! I haven't done any woodburning in awhile so i wanted to do this. Its a tissue box holder with a slide out bottom. All sides are wood burned. I plan on doing another woodburning piece, but mainly shading, not sure if ill have words on it. This piece will be for sale soon once I get the other wood burning done and some tung oil finish on them.

While doing a project like this I've learned that transferring my sketch to wood is not all that easy. The two shadings on the front top corners are tissue paper, and it was challenging. Trying to control the heat, to slow down, to speed up is definitely an interesting challenge. Definitely nice to have a heat resistant glove so no more getting burnt!

A comissioned piece. These were his services dogs, one from Warsaw PD (center) and two when serving the military. While doing this it reminded me the love and joy I had for my dogs that I used to have. I was really honored to have done this project for him.

Sgt. Joe Bumbaugh was presented a hand drawn portrait of himself with his two K9 partners, Bron and Hugo who have both passed away. Friend of Winona Lake Police, Jason Bolt, Grace College Safety, created this beautifully drawn representation to which he gifted to Bumbaugh. It is absolutely beautiful.

This piece was a beast. It's the same size that I did in color pencil but this is in graphite. I still plan on doing this one again in the future in color. I really enjoyed drawing this. In January I was a little over halfway done but when my 3rd child came into this world it sure was and is a challenge on doing artwork. It is hard to balance but I love what I do and can't wait to start the next one. Please enjoy and God Bless!

Welp, here is the project that I was working on from color pencil and had hopped to have finished it, but I decided to not continue with this for a couple of reasons. Dealing with the thought to start over with this was a bit upsetting especially with it being roughly a 12x16 size I think, but its ok. It's ok to start over, because your never really starting from the begining, I'm starting over with more experience than what I had to begin with. This project hasn't defeated me. I will do it again in color pencil, but will start some other projects first.
So, if you've read this far I want you to know that it's ok, if you feel like your struggling with something, and just feel utterly defeated, know that as long as you've learned something and your still going to push through (even if starting over) or coming at it in a different way then your never truly defeated, you have it in you to do some amazing things. Just don't give up!

Hello and welcome to my buisness page both on Facebook and Instagram. I'm excited for this buisness and its possibilities. Even though this buisness is in its infant stage, I have been an a visual artist since my high school years in 2006. In 2013 after college I tried looking for jobs that delt with or could use a visual artist. Long story short, some opportunities I had, but did not work and I tried out for some businesses but did not get accepted.

2020, I decided I wanted to make my own buisness, but was afraid to take that leap and had no idea what kind of art I wanted to focus on. Over the following year I've been pushing myself to find that answer, because I wanted to create art pieces that I'd be passionate about. In 2021, I went on a journey backpacking for a full week at the Isle of Royals National Park in Michigan with one of my best friend's and that experience I'll never forget! When I came back I knew right then what kind of artwork I wanted to create. My work can never be at the same level as God's visual creations with nature and animals, but I'll be able to enjoy the journey and can express it in my work.

So, at the beginning of this new year of 2023 it begins. For now, originals and prints are available depending on each individuals information. You can reach me through Facebook messenger, and if for some reason that is down, you can reach me through email. I'm also available for commission work as well in the mediums of black & white pencil and soft pastel. Other services I'll be providing at a later date.
